In an air frying method, everything is placed in the basket and cooked, allowing all the ingredients to come together perfectly at the same time. This 30-minute air fried chicken and potatoes dinner is incredibly quick and easy to prepare, resulting in a flavorful meal that’s finger-licking good. It’s a dish you’ll want to make again and again.

Ingredients for air fried Potato and Chicken
Chicken
For this easy potato and chicken baked recipe, I used bone-in, skin-on chicken to get the maximum flavor. Chicken skin turned out so crispy and was irresistible.
Potatoes
I used unpeeled potatoes and cut them into halves and then into 1-inch slices. Potatoes take a long time to cook. So, 1-inch pieces will be perfect to bake the chicken and potatoes simultaneously. Potatoes will absorb all the juices and become so tender and delicious.
Soy Sauce
This recipe uses soy sauce instead of salt. Soy sauce gives chicken such a unique flavor that is hard to resist.
Oregano
This herb is closely related to other herbs, including mint, thyme, marjoram, and basil. Oregano along with other ingredients gives the chicken a special flavor.
Paprika and Red chili
This crimson-red color spice is a mix of many different kinds of peppers. Paprika is a mild spice, it gives flavor and color to the chicken. I also use red chili flakes to give the heat to the chicken.
Ginger and Garlic paste
I always use fresh ginger and garlic paste. I like to buy in bulk and grind them, and I use ice cube trays to make small portions. Once they are frozen, I keep ginger and garlic paste in plastic bags.
Lemon Juice
Adding lemon juice to a recipe can bring a burst of citrusy flavor to your dish. The juice of one whole lemon is a versatile ingredient that can be used in various recipes, adding a tangy and refreshing element. Alternatively, if you prefer, lime juice can also be used to achieve a similar effect.
How long does it take to air fry the chicken and potatoes?
In a double air fryer, I was able to prepare this recipe in just 30 minutes at 375°F. Alternatively, you can bake the chicken uncovered in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes at 425°F. The air fryer yields similar results, or you can use an oven toaster if preferred. Simply preheat the oven toaster to 425°F and bake for approximately 40 minutes.
How to store leftover chicken and potatoes
Air fried chicken and potatoes are a perfect dish for meal prep. I store chicken in an airtight container for up to 3 days in a refrigerator or for a few weeks in the freezer. Make sure to divide it into small portions for easy reheating.
