Easy Dubai Chocolate Brownies

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 package brownie mix any brownie mix of your choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

For kunafa

  • 4 oz shredded dough 1/2 package
  • 6.7 oz pistachio paste
  • 1 cup chocolate chips dark or semi-sweet
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or ghee

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Mix all the ingredients of the brownie mix and transfer to a baking tray. Bake according to the package instructions.
  • Or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the dish comes out clean, which means the center is still jiggly.
  • Let it cool down completely.
  • Cut the shredded dough into small pieces and then add 1/2 cup of olive oil or ghee and roast the dough over medium heat. It will take a good 10-15 minutes. Make sure to stir it constantly.
  • Once the phyllo dough is brown and at room temperature, add in the pistachio paste and mix.
  • Now add a layer of the kunafa and pistachio mixture on top of the baked brownie.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals while mixing in between.
  • Once melted, drizzle it all over the brownies.
  • Let it cool down completely before cutting into slices.
  • Enjoy!
