I never liked Dubai chocolate, which may be shocking to hear from me, considering I’m about to convince you to try these Easy Dubai Chocolate Brownies, which are so addictive and delicious that you won’t be able to resist. What I liked, though, was the pistachio and kunafa, so I decided to pair it up with one of my favorite desserts: brownies. Imagine freshly baked brownies topped with kunafa and pistachio paste and drizzled with melted chocolate, a perfect combination that you won’t be able to resist. I used an even easier approach by using a package of brownie mix to make it easy and affordable.

What goes into Easy Dubai chocolate Brownies
Brownies
I’m going to be honest with you, I’m not a baker, so I try not to be one. I bought a package of fudge brownies and followed the package instructions to make a batch. Then let it come to room temperature while you go ahead and make kunafa filling.
Shredded phyllo dough or kunafa
You’ll need half a package of kunafa and oil or ghee to brown it. Kunafa or shredded phyllo dough usually comes in a frozen form. Thaw it according to the package instructions, then cut it into 1-inch pieces using a pair of scissors or a cutting board and a knife. Then melt butter in a pan and add the phyllo dough, cooking over medium heat while stirring it constantly until it has a deep brown color, but not too brown.
Pistachio paste
A crucial ingredient is the pistachio paste, which you can find in Middle Eastern grocery stores or buy from the Amazon store. Mix the pistachio paste with kunafa and then add a layer over the baked brownies.
Chocolate
You’ll need about half a cup of chocolate. You can use semi sweet or even bitter. Melt it in the microwave in 15-second intervals while stirring it in between. Once melted, use a spoon or a piping bag to drizzle it all over the kunafa layer. You can add a generous layer if you want or drizzle it here and there if you prefer it that way.

How to serve Brownies
Once all the layers of Dubai-style chocolate brownies are complete, let it rest in the fridge for at least an hour before cutting into it. Serve alongside a glass of cold milk—that’s how my kids like it—but even with a cup of black coffee, these brownies are just perfect.
How to store Dubai Chocolate Brownies
You can individually wrap each Brownie in butter paper, put them in an airtight container, and store them in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, but I’m telling you, these Brownies are so addicting that you will finish eating them within days.
