Easy Fried Chicken

Fried chicken is one of my favorites, and I crave it every so often. Making fried chicken is not easy because of all that coating and dipping, etc. This recipe is very easy, and it’s also gluten-free. All you have to do is mix your spices, eggs, and rice flour to marinate the chicken. Fry your marinated chicken, and you’ll get your flavorful and crispy fried chicken.

Ingredients for easy fried chicken

Chicken
I used drumsticks for this recipe, but chicken wings are also a good alternative. Remember to use small-sized drumsticks, with or without skin. Larger pieces take more time to cook and will not be a good choice for this recipe.

Lemon/Lime juice
I used the juice of half a lime, which is about 2 tbsp. Lemon juice will give this chicken some sourness to balance the other spices, enhancing the overall flavor of the dish. The acidity of the juice acts as a natural tenderizer, breaking down proteins and making the chicken more succulent. Additionally, the bright, zesty notes of lime or lemon elevate the taste, adding a refreshing layer that complements the savory elements beautifully.

Paprika
Paprika is mostly used for color. I used regular paprika, but smoked paprika is another alternative for this recipe.
