Easy tres leches is a creamy and sweet dessert that requires no baking, just combine three kinds of milk and layer lady finger cookies. Let them soak in the milk and add a layer of whipping cream. I have a sweet tooth but I don’t like making desserts that take a lot of baking or cooking. If you are like me, this easy no-bake 30-minute tres leches is for you.

Ingredients for Easy Tres Leches
What is Tres Leches?
Tres Leches means three milk and in this dessert, we combine three kinds of milk, evaporated, condensed, and heavy cream to make a milk mixture. The milk mixture is so creamy and sweet that you can eat it with a spoon.
Ladyfinger cookies
Instead of baking a sponge cake, I used ladyfinger cookies in this recipe. Layer cookies in a tray and then add in the milk mixture. We want to make sure all of the cookies are soaked in milk or at least brushed with the milk mixtures or else they’ll be dry. I used a 9″x13″ tray but you can use any tray you have.
Whipping cream
Lady finger cookies and milk mixture is very sweet so we are NOT going to add any sugar in the whipping cream. Take 1.5 cups of heavy whipping cream and whip it until hard beaks are formed. To whip the cream make sure it’s very cold. You can also keep the whisk and bowl in the fridge for a few minutes to help whip the cream.
Resting time
This dessert is so convenient to make and only takes 30 minutes but you must leave it in the refrigerator for at least six hours or overnight. So all of the milk is absorbed to give you that creamy goddess. Quick tres leches is an effortless dessert that can be made in advance to serve the next day.
Other ingredients
I used fresh strawberries for garnish, any berries will taste good with this dessert. Fresh berries help cut the sweetness of the milk. If you like cardamom flavor then add ¼ of the tsp of cardamom powder in the milk mixture. Maraschino cherries also make a beautiful addition to the toppings.

Easy Tres Leches
Equipment
- 9"x13" inch tray
Ingredients
- 40 ladyfinger cookies about two packs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 7 oz condensed milk 1/2 can
- 1 can evaporated milk 12 oz
- Strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl combine evaporated and condensed milk. Add 1/2 cup of heavy cream to make a milk mixture.
- Now in a 9”x13” tray layer half of the lady finger cookies and add half of the milk mixture. Layer the second half and the remaining milk.
- Whip remaining 1.5 cups of heavy cream until hard beaks are formed.
- Remember to not add any sweetness to the whipping cream as the milk is already sweet.
- Now add a layer of whipping cream on the top.
- Let the dessert sit in the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.

Notes
- You can use any size of the tray just make sure to fill it in with the cookies. You might need to break some cookies to fit in the pan.
- Don’t add any sugar to the whipping cream.
- I only used 1/2 can of condensed milk
