If you are looking for a quick dinner then make these shrimp tacos. They are a delectable culinary delight that combines the succulence of perfectly cooked shrimp with the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine. Just cook up some shrimp until they’re nice and juicy, then throw them into soft corn tortillas. Top with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro, and you’ve got yourself a quick and delicious meal that’s perfect for any day.

Ingredients for Shrimp Tacos
Shrimp
I used medium size shrimp which will give me a lot of servings. I like to buy deveined frozen shrimp because they are very economical, thaw and remove the shell, and then marinate the shrimp with spices while you go ahead and make salsa.
Spices
You can use readymade taco seasoning but I used salt, paprika, cumin, coriander, onion, garlic, and chili powder. Add a squeeze of lime juice and mix everything.
Sides
I used salsa, sour cream, jalapeño peppers, and cilantro. Served it with the lime wedges on the side. I made my salsa for which I used tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro. Season it with salt, pepper, and lime juice and the salsa is ready.
Tortillas
I like to use flour tortillas for shrimp tacos. Warm them up on a pan and then add a layer of cream cheese, cooked tacos, salsa, sliced jalapeño, and a squeeze of lime right before serving.
How to serve shrimp tacos?
To serve shrimp tacos, first, warm the corn tortillas until they’re soft and pliable. Set up a taco station with bowls of cooked shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, lime wedges, and any desired sauces like salsa or sour cream. Allow guests to assemble their tacos by placing a few shrimp on a tortilla and adding their favorite toppings.
How to save leftover tacos?
Place any remaining shrimp in an airtight container, making sure they are properly sealed to maintain freshness. Store the tortillas separately, using plastic wrap or a resealable bag to prevent them from drying out. I like to keep any toppings in separate containers. When ready to enjoy the leftovers, simply reheat the shrimp and assemble the tacos with the fresh toppings and tortillas. This will help preserve the flavors and textures of each component for a tasty meal later on.
