Green chutney

Ingredients for green chutney

Yogurt
I like to use full-fat regular or Greek yogurt. Fat-free yogurt or 2 % can also be used in this recipe. For the vegan version use an avocado instead of the yogurt.

Green chilies
I used one medium-sized Serrano pepper, but they are pretty hot. Use a Jalapeños or take the seeds out to cut the spiciness. Any other green chili will work for this recipe.

Cilantro
In this recipe, I only used cilantro. Wash and roughly cut cilantro before adding to the blender.

How to store the chutney

To freeze the chutney, blend green chili, cilantro, mint, and cumin powder with some water and freeze the mixture in ice cube trays. Thaw them and mix them with the yogurt and salt right before serving.

Tips
1. Do not add salt to the mixture to freeze the chutney.
2. Keep fully mixed chutney in an air-tight container for up to a week.
