Ramadan cravings are serious, no matter what we need an appetizer and a main dish every day. To skip some workload I made these two in one tandoori chicken sliders which is a perfect appetizer and a main dish. A spicy, creamy, and cheesy filling paired with soft decadent slider buns along with herb butter is everything you need for iftar.

Ingredients for Tandoori Sliders
Boneless chicken
I used boneless chicken breasts and cut them to half-inch pieces. Chicken thighs are another alternative that makes very juicy filling. Marinate the chicken for at least half an hour, or you can do this step night before.
Spices
Tandoori masala, salt, red chili, Kashmiri chili, cumin, and coriander powder are my go-to spices for any desi recipe. I don’t use only tandoori masala because it’s very salty and I need to adjust the spices to my liking.
Herb butter
Take room temperature butter and mix some finely chopped cilantro and fresh garlic. Mix everything, and your garlic butter is ready.
Slider buns
Slider buns that are not sweet are typically used but feel free to use any type of bun that suits your preferences.
Toppings
The toppings I chose – red onion, spring onion, and cheese – are the perfect combination for this dish. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. And if you want to take it to the next level, don’t forget to add a generous dollop of mayonnaise and a drizzle of ketchup. It’s a winning combination that will leave your taste buds craving for more.
How to serve tandoori chicken sliders
Sliders are so versatile and filling, you can use them as an appetizer or a main dish. I made those for Iftar and I didn’t need any other main dishes for the dinner. Serve with some green chutney for extra spiciness and flavor.
